BOB GLIDDEN

Bob Glidden, over the years, has worked in
many musical environments including playing lead and steel guitar in Country Music bands during the late 60’s and early 70’s. From there, it was the love of acoustic music that attracted Bob to the dobro, acoustic guitar, mandolin, and bass fiddle which led to several jobs in Bluegrass bands and recording sessions in the Maritimes. Bob has to his credit three Bluegrass albums that were award winners in the Eastern Canada Bluegrass Awards and East Coast Country Music Awards along with working on over thirty albums for clients ranging from New York to Nova Scotia. Another honourable mention is the winning of the Eastern Canada Dobro Award five times. After the fifth win, he was presented with a “Master’s Award” and taken off the list of future candidates; the first to achieve this honour.

After making his home in St. Albert, Alberta in 1999 and currently in Edmonton, Bob has worked with many fine musicians in his recording studio and on stage in Western Canada and it is thanks to these musicians and their fans that Real Country Music is here to stay.
